Keane’s specializes in red-oak smoked proteins, wood-fired veggies and seasonal sides. We will help you design a legendary feast for you and your guests, from passed appetizers to strawberry cobblers. We now offer Express Drop-Off Catering in addition to our fully catered services for Special Events.

 Our Story

Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering was founded in 2016 by Padraic Keane and his wife Kaylyn. Padraic grew up working in his parents village pub and restaurant in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015. Through some chance friendships and work opportunities he quickly became fascinated with traditional southern barbecue and learned his way around a wood-fired smoker. After welding his own smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence and catering a couple of beer release parties down at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown, Padraic and the company started building a reputation for exceptional food and service. Now Keane’s offers a unique wood-fired catering experience for clients all over Southern New England.

Through the creativity and expertise of Executive Chef Brandon Teachout Keane’s offers some of the best barbecue in the region with changing seasonal sides, local sourcing and the ability to build custom and themed catering experiences.

Keane’s Wood-Fired originated as ‘Boru Barbecue and Catering’. Padraic decided to update the name in 2019 to reflect a broadened set of services and expertise including traditional wood-smoking and other wood-fired cooking techniques. Keane’s smokers run year round on locally harvested red oak.
